Maechael Dude that is one impressive tank. Really digging the stacke slate pieces.

Blackheart Yeah pretty cool tank. I'm assuming it's a 6 foot tank?

I bought a new Hydor 350 Professional External Canister filter on Amazon to replace my two Aquaclear 70 filters on my 55 gallon tank. They do a good job but get ridiculously gunked up in no time. It would also be nice to use something that isn't so bulky looking in the tank, which under my impression, most canister filters aren't.

chazde3 Hey guys. Haven't introduced myself in this section. I have a 180g planted discus tank. Been in the hobby for over a decade now between fresh and saltwater. Here's my current tank.

Blackheart Well we can chat back and forth! :p

I also was supposed to meet someone today to buy some gravel off me for 30 bucks and they said to let them know when I was ready... Unfortunately they never responded. Idk what's with people like that.

Maechael Someone buy blackheart's stuff! And start chatting the michigan thread looks dead again. This needs more activity not less!

Blackheart Also I have a 20 gallon tall stand for sale if anyones interested!! 50 bucks

Blackheart I recently purchased a new T5HO fixture. It is a Hagen Glo T5HO single bulb 54 watt fixture for my 55 gallon tank. I think this should work out more to my liking. 108 watts is way too much for this tank for low-tech. Quite pricey though at 150 on ebay but it was brand new and the seller only had one left.

I've been driving myself crazy going back and forth trying to find a LED light that I could have for low to medium plants needs and one person says the planted plus or 24 7 shouldn't be too much light and then the other one says it is. But I like the Hagen Glo fixtures as it as has its own system for raising it up if you like on the sides of it. Too bad they don't make then anymore.

I will be more than likely putting my Aquaticlife 2 bulb 54 watt fixture up on Amazon.

Maechael Any updates from anyone here? This thread is seeming a bit lacking lately. Sorry I have not doing much. Work is complicated and life is busy, or vice versa both work haha.

Maechael Going to setup that 110 eventually.
Hopefully.

Blackheart My dad plays guitar a lot. I can't play a lick. I was browsing around at Petsmart around my area though the other day and they had a decent deal for a 125 Top Fin brand. It was 659 but had 20% off due to a small chip in one of the corners.

Would really love to have a tank like that.

Maechael Day in pet room turned into day at friends house jamming on guitar. Took two full days but we found a common song haha.

Still hoping to get things turned around in the pet room soon, debating whether or not I geek out at FNM tomorrow or stay home and be a responsible adult and pet parent.

Blackheart Eh too late. I've already pitched them. I will find some more somewhere. Probably online.

How did the day in the pet room go? And I can't even imagine having a 110 gallon tank.

Here's a quick video showing some of my neons...

Maechael If you have some bleach laying around, most plants can withstand a diluted bleachwater bath for a few seconds lets you know where they stand smell wise.

There is also the 5 gallon bucket outside to see if it makes it without smelling up the house.

I have to spend all day tomorrow working in my pet room, and I am very unsure as to where I should begin. If I had an extra body or two I would setup my 110. Maybe next week for that.

Blackheart Yup I did tonight. I'm not really liking my scape very much... but I'm working on it.. I had a bunch of really cool looking Water Sprite... sadly it had a really bad smell to it.. Didn't wanna risk it so I just pitched it. The smell was so bad that it wouldn't come off my hands!!
