GMYukonon24s Nice grab Blackheart on the new tank. Well I haven't posted here in awhile. Last Thursday my Peacock Gudgeons were hanging out around the pvc pipe I setup for them along the top side glass. Well I went upnorth last Friday and my brother told me that they laid their eggs. So I put the male and the tube in a floating breeder when I got home. Let the male do his job of fan the eggs and came home today to find babies. I found some eggs still in the tube and some of the babies in the bottom level of the breeder.

Blackheart Yeah awesome deal. A guy on craigslist in Beverly Hills also had a 65 gallon tank with the stand for 100 bucks. I wanted to try to get it, but someone else supposedly had plans for it already. They guy said he'd let me know if that fell through.

Wow. That's a really good deal. If only I had a house. Or a larger apartment.

Blackheart Because I'm impatient lol sadly they just at one at Pet Supplies Plus that I chose not to go with... I could kick myself now cause I could have got it for 60 bucks

mrpixel I'm just wondering. Why don't you wait until they have there $1 per gallon sales?

Blackheart Bump...

So I took the 50 gallon Top Fin tank back to Petsmart this week. Today I picked up an Aqueon branded 55 gallon. Couldn't pass it up considering it was 40 dollars cheaper for the tank than the 50. Aqueon was 100 bucks plus tax of course.

I'm also supposed to be receiving my stand this week in the mail. Hopefully on monday. I'm super stoked.

Blackheart thanks for the thought. I just decided to go with the Petco brooklyn stand though. my favorite stand honestly.

I haven't had any luck on selling my 75 setup. Bummer. No hits. I put it up on craigslist.

It all depends on how pretty you want it. One made out of 2x4" and 4x4" for the frame and Laminated wood for the sides and how many doors you would want. It could be anywhere from $15-$80. Depending on if you wanted hardwood or just 2x4 and painted plywood.

Through down a couple of links to different stand that you like so I can get an idea of what your after and I will price out making something similar/equivalent.

the new 55 needs direction, thinking of pulling the rocks out, and lining up the sticks.

Hoping to build a new stand, with my brother for the cube.

Oh very nice.
I've been thinking about volunteering at some of the Hatcheries in the area. Just to see how it's done.

Take some pictures of the stand and tank if / when you get it completed.

mrpixel Maechael. What is your new Job?
Blackheart. I've been toying with the idea of building stands for people since it is typically cheaper than buying. What kind of material were you looking for your stand to be built out of? What Color?

Blackheart Daydreaming about tanks eh?

I went and looked around at Pet Supplies Plus and checked out their Aqueon 55 gallon tank they had for 100 bucks... It measured 48x13x21. Wish I was taller because it's still a better deal than the Top Fin branded tank I picked up which is actually 48x12x19 which I paid 140 bucks for. It's still shorter though which is better for me really.

Also I'm tearing down my 75 gallon today... It's kind of bitter sweet doing it. I do really like the tank, but we have a small house and it just sticks out way too much. I know the new tank I bought is 4FT as well, but it actually looks a lot smaller in here.

I'm debating about the stand still when I get it... I will probably go the Petco stand route, but there's a company in Imlay City that makes tanks/stands and supplies and they make a 48x12 stand that is only 22 inches tall. Might be nice having something shorter that I can reach down in it comfortably and their only 68 dollars I believe.

Maechael Another day at Work, and still liking the new job.

Thinking of how I can switch up my current tanks, debating on whether to aquascape, or just rearrange and play with it.

Really wanting to get some myriophyllum mattogrossense, and some tiny rasboras for a newer tank.

Blackheart Oh yeah. I saw that. The stand is still a bit much for me. 100 bucks. They have it on sale a lot of the time though. Sometimes for 70 or 80 bucks.

btw if anyone's interested... I think I'm going to sell my 75 gallon. I'd like to get 200 bucks for it if possible. the tank, stand, heater, and glass tops included.
