DrakeScree I was able to pick up a 35 gram replacement tank from a off name brand for about $10 from Petco. It's not too bad.

But if $150 is the entry point for something that will dose on its own, I think I'm stuck with the linked product.
That kit is a ripoff. The replacement tanks are extremely overpriced for what you get. You'd be better off in the long run just investing in a good regulator/solenoid

I read the sticky the other day. Id rather something not DIY if the price is only slightly more.

Yankee I'm not sure what you mean by "automatic CO2"... You mean a regulator with solenoid? Get an aquatek regulator w/ cool touch solenoid and a 5lb CO2 tank (~$120). You can get a timer for it to become "automatic" and you can replace the needle valve and add a bubble counter for about $50 more. I've replaced my needle valve just recently and it honestly rivals the higher end dual stage regulator I have. See the equipment sticky to get some ideas on how to build an autodoser - I honestly don't do it because I enjoy the routine and it reminds me to hand feed my fish and give them a little attention in the morning.

Q: cheapest automatic Co2 and auto doser

What is a inexpensive automatic Co2 and automatic fertility doser that I could use in a 12g tank?

Currently I dose by hand once or twice a week with liquid ferts and have the cheap Fluval co2 diffuser (large piece of plastic) .
