Hlh If your other fish are semi aggressive they might do ok. Flags are pretty bossy.

m00se I have an FX5 and a cerges reactor on a separate loop in there that moves/cleans a lot of water per hour. I actually rehomed 8 cherry barbs and 6 harlequin rasboras last night in anticipation of moving these guys in. The Bolivians seem very healthy at the moment, but I do agree that things could get fun once they come into breeding season. I will certainly keep my eye on that.

I had hella time with Bolivians that my LFS was getting. I eventually gave up and out of the original 6 I bought, only one is still with us 1.5 yrs later. This new batch came from a guy off Aquabid and they are little beasties healthwise. I am quite happy with them.

American Flag fish - Am I about to make a mistake?

I have a 40 gallon community tank with 6 American Flags, a few cherry barbs and 7 adolescent Bolivian rams, as well as some corydoras and peacock gudgeons. Everyone gets along fine right now. One male Flag with 5 females. He's happy, they're happy. Here is my dilemma:

I also have a grow out tank (15 gallon heavily planted) with 6 American Flags in it which are just now coming into adolescence. In here I have 3 males and 3 females. They're just now showing their courtship behaviors and since they're in such a small space there are territorial issues developing.

What can I expect if I move these 6 Flags into the 40g with the others? Is this going to be "a bad idea"?

Thanks for your input!
