Fdsh5 Platies love shrimp. My Cory sterbai don't really bother my cherries but when I had platies they would hunt down shrimp if I dropped one in the tank. Also, if there isn't much for the shrimplets to graze on you won't get a high survival rate either

Cherry colony help

I have had this colony for a while now 5-6 months. The tank is stable, I notice A week or 2 ago I had 4 large females with eggs ranging in different sizes. Now only one female is berried and they are still dark color not bright orange or pink yellow. Is this sounding about right? I feel like I have been waiting for a large bloom of shrimp baby's for months now, at first I thought my fish could be eating baby's I took out all the fish accept 2 corys and ottos pleco and 1 platty. Any input? I have a large java fern ball, 2 ceramic shrimp logs and tons of plants and moss bio film and I fee algae wafers and tropical flake. I want theSe buggers everywhere, and the growth of the colony is slow. I want to try and selectively breed them and am a struggling amateur, bummed lol
