I'm thinking this is a Ninja shrimp as well. I bought it and it's mate in Seattle last week. When I asked what they were the keeper said that he didn't know, that they came in with a load of Tigers.

Soothing Shrimp They're known for changing colors when they want to. So perhaps he is matching your hardscape or substrate. They live in freshwater and can breed, but need saltwater for the low order shrimp babies to survive.

Ninja shrimp. Stripes look the same. That's the darkest one I have ever seen.

Possibilities are:
Ninja shrimp or Malayan Shrimp
