Day in pet room turned into day at friends house jamming on guitar. Took two full days but we found a common song haha.
Still hoping to get things turned around in the pet room soon, debating whether or not I geek out at FNM tomorrow or stay home and be a responsible adult and pet parent.

Eh too late. I've already pitched them. I will find some more somewhere. Probably online.
How did the day in the pet room go? And I can't even imagine having a 110 gallon tank.
Here's a quick video showing some of my neons...

If you have some bleach laying around, most plants can withstand a diluted bleachwater bath for a few seconds lets you know where they stand smell wise.
There is also the 5 gallon bucket outside to see if it makes it without smelling up the house.
I have to spend all day tomorrow working in my pet room, and I am very unsure as to where I should begin. If I had an extra body or two I would setup my 110. Maybe next week for that.

|Blackheart||Yup I did tonight. I'm not really liking my scape very much... but I'm working on it.. I had a bunch of really cool looking Water Sprite... sadly it had a really bad smell to it.. Didn't wanna risk it so I just pitched it. The smell was so bad that it wouldn't come off my hands!!|

|Maechael||Get those crypts planted directly as soon as you can, and they will reward you by spreading much faster rhizomatically.|

Yeah crazy growth on them. Even though I've never had success with them.
Here's a link to youtube though with a quick video of my tank. Trying to keep up with progress online through there.

|Maechael||Nice scoop, the vals are like my java fern haha, got a tankful as one mat as they had interwoven.|

I appreciate the offer though
I did go out to Rochester Hills to the Petsmart, Walmart and Meijers right in the same shopping area and got TONS of stuff. Super excited. I got a couple of Crypts from Walmart. Then I wandered over to Meijers and I hit the jackpot!! They had tons of plants. Dirty tanks... But tons of plants. Swords, Crypts, Wisteria, Water Sprite, Jungle Vals, Ludwigia, and a few others that I'm not sure of the name. I bought everything except for the Wisteria and only spent 30 bucks. One good thing about Meijers... They don't really know anything about plants, so I got an entire section of Jungle Val for the price of one because they were all grown runners and were connected.
I also lastly went over to Petsmart and picked up 16 neons to add to my already small school of 4.

|Maechael||Yeah I saw the trip adding up. Didn't know if plants or gas would be cheaper haha.|

|Blackheart||I appreciate it bud but Flint is a bit of a drive for me. I will more than likely be doing a bunch of tank shopping this friday as I have the day off to my self while my wife is at work That means lunch, and then a bunch of fish stores, petsmart and probably a couple meijers looking for plants.|

Blackheart, if you drive to Flint for them I have enough plants to fill that tank up nicely.
No joke, plenty of crypts, a few anubias, some rotalas.
Had to collapse my emersed rigs in tbe move so overloaded there, and I have 10 tanks worth of plants in a tank and a bucket.

Sounds like you have your hands full Maechael. So you do both freshwater and salt?
Here's a pic of my tank re-done after removing the eco complete, painting the background and adding flourite gravel... My small school of Neons as well
Not many plants in it now still have to pick up some more soon!

So in a nonwork related post.
With my move I have downsized considerably and will hopefully in the next week, be setting up my 110 gallon freshwater, and doing the basework for my 70 gallon saltwater tank. Really hoping to get the 110 up and running ASAP as I have a severely overpopulated 40B at the moment.

Sounds like a nice little place, would love to make it out there someday.
So in a very unofficial way I am the plant guy at my store, since apparently I can sell them well.
which makes me quite happy, and now I need to read even more material on the hobby so I can answer half the questions I get asked.

|Blackheart||Hello! Yes I've been there many times. In my opinion their the best LFS in this area. Good species selection, driftwood and accessories, and really nice friendly workers. They give me small discounts on everything I buy there it seems like. They also trade in fish with no problem and give store credit for them. I've also never had problems with fish dying there at all.|
