the crypt airstone

My crypts are producing tiny, constant bubble streams right now...and my brand new (added 02/27/2013) h. glomeratus is pearling. Must be doing something right. Has anyone ever witnessed the crypt airstone? Pretty cool. I tried to get a picture of it, but my phone couldn't capture it...maybe if I got enough requests, I'd go dig out the DSLR.

jrlyons21 I really like this light JimmyZ. The plants are doing ok, but I haven'r really had a steady setup from the start. I keep moving things around. I think Im stay tuned.

It is actually way too powerful for this little shallow tank so I moved it to about 8 inches off the surface of the water. 7 hrs on with DIY CO2. The rest of the time off.

I believe the UltraRay2 and FugeRay have different amoung of LEDs per foot. I believe the UltraRay2 has more PAR than the FugeRay, but the FugeRay has the Moonlights.

This would be worth your while to check out.

It's a handy idea but the trouble is the reactor for me was too big and bulky. Plus the refills are a little expensive. I think I paid 14 for three refills. Which doesn't seem too bad but they do run out fairly quick. I also had a few issues with the valve leaking. Fluval replace them so it's not too bad. I quickly upgraded to a refillable setup and just kept the mini 20 for back up. It's way cheaper in the long run doing that. Hope this helps.
I read that you do not have to buy the Fluval refills. Not sure if that makes it much less expensive.

JimmyZ That looks really nice. How do you like the Finnex Ray 2? I have a Finnex FugeRay 20 on Spec V and it is doing a surprisingly good job of keeping my plants healthy.

New layout

This tank finished cycling, so I added a few white clouds. Crypts, anubias, and java fern are doing well. The chain sword...not so much. And I added this driftwood with some kind of moss yesterday...

jrlyons21 Just a quick update

Picked up a very small crypt and some pygmy chain today. Oh and the other day when I went walking through the woods, I ventured to a stream and found some cool striped river rock.
