Snowflake311 My old big fish get names.
Severum 8" and the only fish I think of as a pet. I got him as a 1.5" baby. His name is Nip.
delhezi bichir still growing and one of the coolest fish I ever kept. He name is Dragon fish.
Buffalo head cichlid. Officer bulbous head might be the best name of all.
Uaru mafia king. He and his partner ran the tank for years.

My first discus is disco stew. The others never got names because my first is my fav.

My daughters goldfish head head and goldy .

Virto Eh, not so much, beyond calling them "fish." But it's easy for me since I only have two fish at the moment, and they're in separate rooms of the house.

Technically, the pink convict is "big fish" because he had a smaller sibling tank mate for years that eventually bellied up. That fish is around 8 years old now.

Once the tank is fully cycled and the plants are good to go, I'll have to worry about having multiple fish in one tank, as I'm setting up a betta sorority. I still imagine that I'll call them "fish" but possibly with a color attached.

fishwater My female Pearl Gourami is named Alpha, and her male counter-part is named Beto. The BN pleco is named Whiskers. Also our purple betta is named Crayon. Haven't named my GBR's yet. However I am leaning toward Keith and Donna.

big54bob My Betta is named Legacy and my clown plec@ is named Phantom. I also have a Green Leopord angel that I named Joe.

3 african clawed frogs are Nacho, Potato, and Meatball, the oranda goldfish is Kenny Powers, and the surinam toad is appropriately named Pancake.

Duchess Haha I thought I was the only one... My large bala shark is 'jaws', his smaller counterpart is 'mini me', the silver tip shark is 'the enforcer' my plecostomus is sucker fish and the feather fin catfish is 'ugly' and the underdog little cat fish that is 'fitty'

Rush3737 Yeah, I've always named my fish.

aroo I used to name all the fish I could differentiate. (The neons never got names.) For some reason I got out of the habit, even for easily recognizable fish like bettas.

ADJAquariums I've only ever named one fish, my current angel which i named Jorege i believe, either that or ricardo

Kinection My turtle is named Ninja, and I have a ton of guppies so I only name some. If the offspring looks like the adult I named, it gets the same name. For example, my tiger cobra endler is named Derrell and all its babies are named Derrell. My GBRs are named Bolt and Cindy. My reddest PFR is named Red. :P

Zefrik I have a goldfish with a weird spot on its head so I have gotten to calling him Gorbachev.

Sajacobs I've got 3 goldfish - peaches, fray, lilo. As a group I call them the "turd" gang....because they poop so much. Thank goodness I have a friend who is great at naming my fish because otherwise they would all be "mr fish".

laqu only my betta ... mariposa and it's a guy but we (my daughter and I) refer to him as a her.. "she's" moody (and yes we are female, so we can get away with it

the only shrimp i named was "stoner" my shrimp who liked to hang out on the CO2 outflow - he died, CO2 poisoning I'm sure. Yes, he only hung out on CO2, ignored the Air next to it completely.

Rbp917 My kids would name the one of a kind fish, but the schooling fish lived in the anonymity of the pack.
