I just realized that I haven't actually posted in this thread. Normally I take shots of part of my tank, so here are a couple of each:

Those tanks look nice, freak and rininger85. Thanks for posting the pictures!
Freak, good luck with the switch to live plants, it can get addictive though lol. I've always liked the hardscape that you put in that tank.
Rininger85, those are some really cool pieces of driftwood, did you collect those yourself?

|rininger85||this is my first planted tank, not real thickly planted yet, but I'll keep adding to it... battling algae right now though, might need to reduce my lights because algae went crazy when I put my new lights on this...|

|freak||Was told I should post a full tank shot so here goes. Just switched to live plant's so this is a work in progress. This is my Angel tank.|

What kind of light do you have? Once you get some of the cyperus helferi be sure to post a picture of the tank if you can, I'd like to see how it looks in there.

I just checked out that Alternanthera reineckii. I have pretty low light, so probably a no-go. But I do want to get my hands on some cyperus helferi! That plant looks like it will fit perfectly with my tank
Thanks for the suggestions

One other plant I thought of that may work (depending on you light level) is an Alternanthera reineckii variety.

All my tanks have been redone since the thread was started (I don't leave things alone), so here's some new pictures.
29 gallon old scape (just rescaped today, but I don't have any pictures of it yet)
10 gallon betta tank
29 gallon hex (the fish are behind the driftwood chasing some food)
Set up another emersed setup, this picture is when it was started. It is well overgrown now.
I agree, there needs to be more pictures .

Not much action on this indiana sub-forumn lately...
Here is a picture of my 29 gallon:
Inhabitants are 10 rummynose tetra, 2 german blue rams, and a few ottos
I am taking suggestions for a good plant to fill in the background!
Lets see some more tanks!

Hi everyone. I am from Warsaw and just found this thread. I have had an aquarium or two, or three....for several years. I breed Bettas at one time also, still have the barracks that I am willing to sell in case anybody is interested in it.
My husband bought me a 75 gallon tank for Christmas when Petco had their $1 per gallon sale.
I am currently in the process of getting an aquascape plan from Aquariumplants.com to put into it. I have pressurized C02 but haven't used it for quite some time, but I will be starting it back up again with this tank. I will be also using PPS Pro as a dosing regimen. I am using a Rena Filstar XP2 canister filter, a Marineland 36-48" LED light, and a Aqueon 48" T5 light fixture with a 28w 6700K and a 28w Colormax light bulb. The lights are on a timer for 10-12 hours a day.
So here is a picture of my tank as it is right now.
It currently houses:
2 juvenile angel fish
1 red wag platy
6 harlequin raspbora
6 Glolight tetra
1 Dwarf African frog
2 Cardinal tetra
2 Ghost shrimp
1 6" Pleco, would like to find him a new home
1 6" Algae, would like to find him a new home as well.
14 juvenile Mollies, have lots more in a 20L with parents
I will post another picture once I get the aquascape plan set up.

With all the help of this forum, I took my constant-algae-battle tank with dying plants and produced this oh-so-healthy tank full of enjoyment!
