|l8nite||Strangely, I have 2 Nerites in my 5G Marineland Hex, and I have never had any eggs on the sides of the tank. They lay the majority of them on the small rocks I put in there.|

|musician71604||Ramshorns are doing a great job for me in my smaller tanks. Excellent algae eaters.|

|rodcuda||Just get some ramshorns, they are great for keeping the glass clean and are not so bad about overpopulating.|

Siamese algae eaters might work.

snail for algae
so my 9 gallon is getting some algae on the glass. I want to get a few algae eating snails but not nerites. I have them in my bigger tank and love them but I don't want all those scatter eggs on my smaller tank. I have about 20 shrimp, 2 scarlet badis and 4 endlers so I don't want to add more fish (as in otos) So what other snails will be great for algae but nice to my plants, shrimp and not leave scatter eggs??
