Turn flash mode off, and use at least 200 lumen led flash light on top of tank glass. One hand on flash light switch and other on camera, so you don't blind your shrimp. Hahaah. I stop taking of the female because she threw her eggs away, after she wiped her eyes. I saw her actually wiping her eyes .
I actually did try that before, with my 9yrs old holding the light ;-) Thanks a lot for your sharing of experience.

I have a sony f828 and just got a raynox dcr 150, will find a cheap flash to see if I can do a half decent job comparing to yours ;-)

Do you set up the flash on tank cover as the slave or your camera can trigger it with an extension? It's hard to find a flash that my sony can trigger directly, thinking to get a slave to be triggered by the on-camera flash, wondering how you set it up.

Seriously thinking to get a sony nex 6 and get a macro lens for it, but sony only has a 30mm macro lens for the nex series. Would like something > 60mm...
