It's meant in reference to all these college, HS kids bellyaching about having to go back to school.. Yep. I work. In HS I was on a work study program. I loved school vacations. Meant I got to put more hours in at work to earn money to get the custom ground cam and high dome pistons and get it blueprinted. Work study meant I got my apprenticeship done that much faster.

sejoy I expect to be in some boring jobs before entering my chosen career like most people I'm sure. But I am an artist and I can't wait to get out there and start doing what I love for a living.
Being stuck in an into to Photoshop class for five months just because an advisor made it a graduation requirement is not my idea of learning. I'm just sick of being placed in classes that are a lot of work, cost a lot of my time and money, and leaving without gaining much knowledge.
I love to learn, I will never stop loving and wanting to learn, but going broke to sit in classes teaching skills I have already surpassed is not cool.

I dropped that class today without telling my advisor, we'll see how this goes.
Thinking of adding a Nematology or Horticulture class in it's place. I've finished all my gen ed science courses already though =/

To fellow college students in here, what kinds of classes/ majors are you in? Any fish/plant related classes you really enjoy? Really not liking how my BFA program is going here, might switch to Bio instead and save up for art school.

And yes, eventually it buys you a LOT of fish tanks.

puopg I would love to go back to school, the environment (minus the exams) is so chill. Hanging with friends, chillaxin, knowing hw is due on friday and u still got thursday to do it. I kinda miss that cuz when you move to a new place for work, friends aren't always a few feet away from you.

On a TPT note, there's an awesome LFS near my school that has super helpful employees, healthy fish and tons of plants. I'd love to work there 8D
You think that in the working world you will always be doing something "challenging"?
I love the marketing packages that take a month of work before it goes to press. Hours of studio work. Days of imposition. Client changes. My changes. Then I get the basic letterhead envelope bc setup. That should only take 10 minutes to setup. With a "normal" client it does. Definitely not a challenge. But has to be done.

BTW most of the classes I took in HS were not challenging and I could pretty much sleep thru and ace. (Actually many of them I did) Most of the classes in college that I thought were totally irrelevant turned out to be a godsend in later life. You just never know.

GraphicGr8s What a bunch of pansies. Wait till you get into the real world and have to work. Two weeks total for vacation. Some holidays of course. But uhg. You have to work through the summer. No more summer vacations for you nor any winter, Easter etc. breaks.
GDK, in the real world you're tested every day.
