Dayumdanny Just updates of random feeding time

speedie408 I don't add any of those products posted in my shrimp tanks. With shrimp, keeping it simple is the best solution to keeping them healthy. All I use now is Nutrifin Chiclid Conditioner to remineralize my RO water and do 20-50% WC every other week, depending on how lazy I feel. Sometimes I let it go 3-4 weeks and just do top offs with 100% RO.

Very sorry to hear about your shrimp deaths.

Dayumdanny Unknown death today.

I'm not sure what could be the cause of death. I checked on the shrimps at 6:30am. Switched the led fixture to the moonlight setting, came back from school and there was a dead shrimp in the feeding dish.

There seems to be no discoloration, it's not a case of a bad molt. Not sure why it died. Sunday was the last water change. My water parameters as of right now is

Ph 6.4
TDS 185
GH 5
KH 0
Nitrite and Ammonia are zero.
Temp 72F

My only assumption is that my hob filter is causing to much of a current. I read that this could stress the shrimps out but could a current really stress to death a shrimp? Aren't their natural habitats flowing streams?

Dayumdanny Did a 20% water change, added Borneo supplements and mosura minerals. So far only 1 death. Also added some moss. Other than that see for yourself! The shrimp has definitely colored up a lot.

Dayumdanny I got the shrimp from Speedie408. Great guy. He didn't have enough SS at the time of the shipment so he replaced them with SSS grade with no extra charge. Great quality at a Great price too.

Shrimp Goodies came today courtesy of H4n. He also included a bunch of samples for me including the new Borneo Wild Multipara!

StraightAddicted Dayummmm Danny, those shrimp look great, may I ask where you got them from? You can PM if you don't want to post here. And the tank def. looks bigger than what it is. I am starting 2.5g and hope to have same effect.

Yeah I used the wide angle and macro lens on my iPhone. And the tank is actually 4 gallons. It's 24 inches long but only 7 inches high so maybe that's why you thought it looked so big

Dayumdanny Finally the shrimp came, despite the below freezing weather, all 20 shrimp are alive and healthy.

2 hour drip acclimation:

For just being shipped and moved into a container, the color is pretty vibrant.

During the two hour wait, I went out and got construction paper to hide the hole in my table lol

All the shrimp are in the tank and they are a lot more red. More pictures to come as soon as they calm down.

Dayumdanny Thanks everyone! More input would be great!

And the clover looking plant is called Hydrocotyle Sibthorpioides.

D-raw What's the plant that looks like four leaf clovers?

StraightAddicted Very nice setup Danny, I like how you stood those pieces up in the middle of the tank. They will enjoy climbing those and pretend to be a statue on top for you to take pictures haha... Keep up the great work and can't wait to see them arrive soon.
