Fishies_in_Philly Hardscape is, for the most part, complete on this shrimp paludarium. I should be starting to plant it over the weekend. Very soon, I'm going to need some shrimp. If anybody local had anything interesting, please let me know

Fishies_in_Philly Thought I would post an updated pic of my steam punk vivarium before I trim it this weekend

Rush3737 Thanks guys, if they come up I will follow your instructions. I typically do that with stems, but I guess considering these aren't your typical stem plants I didn't follow through with that.

Fishies_in_Philly Yup, strip away about 3/4" of leaves off the bottom if the blyxa and it will stay. Then just leave it alone and don't touch if for like two weeks.

GitMoe They can be a pain when it comes to planting. I remember the first time I had it they all kept floating and every day I'd have to replant like 10 stems. Drove me nuts. Eventually I figured out if you pull the leaves off the bottom 1.5" or so and plant that it's usually enough to keep it planted and allows a nice root structure to grow more quickly.

Rush3737 Don't be, yet. I'm having to try some creative things in planting them as my last attempt was a disaster. Either a fish was bad or their location sucked, but I couldn't get them to stay to save my life. Hopefully this time it goes better.

GitMoe I'm hoping a very large shipment of plants gets to me tomorrow from Florida...

Jealous of your Blyxa...

Nice. You got lucky. Last snow storm I was supposed to get my finnex fixture the day it snowed. Under the tracking info it said delivery attempted. It came the next day but I'm guessing the snow day they must have gone out and it was so bad that they turned back lol.
