Allentan97 eco complete would be good

GeToChKn I tried eco and FSS and seemed to have a weird effect. FSS releases tannins, humic acid, etc to help lower the pH. Eco has a high CEC and absorbs everything in the water and I think between the FSS releasing and EC sucking everything it can up, it didn't do much for my buffering once I mixed them. I would try and get more FSS if you plan on using it for it's buffering.

substrate under Shrimp Stratum?

I'm wondering if anyone has found a suitable substrate besides ADA that could go under some Shrimp Stratum? I didn't order enough and really don't/can't wait a full week it takes to come in the mail. I have Flourite under some in a temp. tank because I wasn't caring about looks, but I was wondering if the black or Eco-complete might be better, or if nothing has really worked well under Stratum in the long term? Would rather waste time than money so let me know if anything has worked for you
