|mobruler78||Thanks, I'm going to bite the bullet and get the Aquasoil. From everything I've read on here, everyone seems to be happy with their decision on using it. Excited to get this project underway and post some photos.|

The UP Aqua stuff is great for buffering but that's about it in my experience. I really enjoy the Shrimp Sand and the other products, though.
I think your money would be better spent on Aquasoil. That way you'll have a built-in ammonia source for cycling and will be able to grow all kinds of plants without worry.

|mobruler78||Just curious if the Up Aqua Soil is worth getting or spend the extra $$ and get the Amazonia AS. The shipping from ADA in Cali is just as expensive as the dirt.|

Are you trying to save money? If not, then I've heard that the Up Aqua Shrimp Sand is really long lasting, its pretty hard to crush with your bare hands on a single granule.
Of course you can never go wrong with ADA AS.

Substrate advice needed - Up Aqua Soil / ADA
Hello - Advice needed I bought a 5.5g and want at least 3" of substrate bed.
Im debating on:
3 liter bag of ADA New Amazonia - $27.69 shipped
9 liter bag of ADA New Amazonia - $52.04 shipped
22 lb bag of Up Aqua Soil - $41.00 shipped
Has anyone tried or reviewed Up Aqua soil yet? Seems to be my best investment option..
