pinoyghost2 Go for it, you could get a heck of a lot of shrimp bags on that bike LOL.

joon i should try this... ride a bike at parking lot of pet stores lol

evilhorde Put an ad on craigslist and meet the person at a parking lot instead of your home?
Seems a little less shady than approaching people outside the pet store wearing a trenchcoat, asking "wanna buy my crustaceans?".

wicca27 try finding a local fish club? that would be a good thing if they have auctions where you could sell your items

AquariumNoob you should learn how to ship by doing research and stuff. Those shrimp can go for 1$ up to 3$ Each, and crayfish are way more, if you are willing to ship.
Good luck!

somewhatshocked The USPS will pick packages up at your home for free. That should further reduce some of the stresses of packing and selling.

joon Thanks
I sell on craigslist
And if I ship them, I would raise my price because I have to spend time going post office and take care of doa thing
Right now I work seven days aweek I make money and pay tax from it. So fish keeping hobby stays hobby

mach_six Being randomly propositioned to buy drugs or stolen goods would be more normal than someone asking to buy shrimps!
11-13-2012 01:33 PM
Merth Yep you would probably make more if you found a "partner" that would do the shipping for you in exchange for a percentage.

hotrodprincess I would buy them thats a price I could afford for our homeschool project. The girls would love the different colors.

If you're going to sell in person.......

Meet interested buyers @ the nearest coffee/pizza shop.

If someone approached me randomly on the street, I would be wary of buying little neon colored shrimp. (The shrimp in the 1st photo looked like they were dipped in food coloring.) $10 I would definitely buy it, just prefer to have some notice ahead of time so I had a appropriate tank setup for them.

See if you can team up with another member that's close by. There's got to be a Philadelphia fish keeping club with some members who are experienced shippers.

Everyone in Philly can't be eating cheesesteaks, scrapple & pretzels all day long.

Too bad you're 7 hours drive from me, otherwise I would help you set something up in exchange for a sampler pack of your armored critters.

Other than that, gorgeous fish/shrimp room!!!

10gallonplanted Try contacting them on a sale thread them meeting them somewhere to do the deal. Sure it looks like a drug deal but at least they are not at your home. Its what i do.

Or you could always ship!

SpecGrrl Joon, have you tried putting an ad on Craigslist?

Your stock is awesome!

And yes, people on this forum would definitely buy from you.
