guits I was at Pacific today, and while I am not an expert I've kept and bred various Apistogramma in the past and I do not believe they are A. agassizii - at least not all of them. The lateral strip is not continuous. The tail, for those fish that have some patterning, appear more like the tail for A. pertensis. The fish are young (and some appear somewhat malnourished) so I may be completely wrong.

In my experience, Pacific tends to label almost all Apistogramma as A. agassizii. I've seen them label "Steel Blue" as A. agassizii. I personally have purchased young Apistogramma from them that were labelled as A. agassizii that turned out to be A. macmasteri, which was not a problem since it is a very beautiful fish as well. I think purchasing mystery Apistogramma can be fun - you never know how they will turn out!

DavidZ That's cheap for the agassizi, the only problem you can tell what king and they usually mislabel.
Any Pics?

Last time I saw them there they were larger and still no vivid color

IDR Petco Union square has decent-sized portions of Anubias petite for sale. I think they were $10 each. Three of four of them when I was in there yesterday.

Looking for a job as a poor college student and thought, might as well try to find one in a hobby I enjoy.
Pacific downtown seems to have recently hired just that sort of type. IE broke college students, and they all seem to be pretty happy when I'm in there. Might want to call them and ask if you could interview for a position. It's a well run store.

Would love to help, but you may be better off contacting the various shops near you. There can't be that many, and they'll know more about whether they're hiring then we will.
