|PlantedRich||I'm a former Springfield guy and look in there once in a while but I would not expect a club. There have been various clubs start over the years but rarely last long as there are not many really motivated club goers. There are not many places where I have lived which will support any type of hobby club for meetings monthly. Normally I find a few folks in an area that are obsessed with the current interest but that fades as they get into the work of being a club. If a club is formed around a group like a college or large business so that there is a base of support and facilities, clubs can get by but if somebody has to provide all the work, it soon fades. There was a Springfield area fish club back somewhere in the '70's but I lost track of it long ago.|

I'm in springfield. Working 2+ jobs so I probably wouldn't have time for meeting at a club.
I do drop into the aquariumshoppe from time to time. They aren't really big on freshwater but they have decent fish and I like to support local. They might know of some kind of club.

Is anyone around Springfield? Wish we had some kind of aquatic club here. K.C., St. Louis, Tulsa, Rogers -- we're surrounded but all are hours away and too far to drive for monthly meetings.
Interested in cichlids and plants.
