GuppyGirl An hour away to starbucks? That must be hard! You won't be the only one out there for long... I'm moving about half an hour west of Kearney in a few months.

BrownThumbs Hey there... I'm in Nebraska too! But I'm in the middle of nowhere part... between Kearney and North Platte. At least an hour away to the closest LFS, and Starbucks too!

GuppyGirl Oooh... To many choices!

Bakuphoon I live in Omaha and I'll have some red rili shrimp for sale soon, if you wanted some of those.

GuppyGirl lol I'll have to check that out too!

steven p No problem, I was in Omaha yesterday, stopped at Nebraska Aquatic Supply and say they had a few more types of shrimp than they used to. Crystals, oranges, and some that were called black something and blue something shrimps... If you wanna keep it local and skip the shipping, pester them into cutting you a deal

GuppyGirl That looks like a pretty good deal! I don't know if I have room for 50 full grown shrimp... but I figure I can probably find homes for the overflow. Thanks for the reference!

steven p http://www.theshrimpfarm.com/ all my shrimp came alive and well.. tiny however...

GuppyGirl Yeah, I think I'll just end up ordering them online... but I really hate shipping costs. lol

Do you have any recommendations?

ua hua I have seen lower grade CRS at Nebraska Aquatic Supply but to be honest you would be better off buying from some of the members on this forum as you will end up with nicer shrimp for half of what you would pay at a LFS. I myself have a hard time spending money on these over priced water roaches even though some of them are beautiful. To each is own I guess. Nebraska Aquatic does have some nice stuff though as far as a LFS goes. It's nice to see more Nebraskans on here as well.

jstehman Yes ma'am. I'm in Omaha. And there really isn't a great place for shrimp here. Unless you're a ghost shrimp. You can get fish you like special ordered from Aquapets, or just go there like every other day like I do!

GuppyGirl I didn't ask about fish-killers! :P lol

naturelady Hey GuppyGirl, welcome to the forums! I also live in NE, probably not too far from you (I'm near York).

Sorry, I have not been living here long enough to have had time to check out all of the local LFS. You might try going to Nebraska Aquatic Supply in Omaha. I don't know if they have many shrimp, but they have some and they seem very willing to take suggestions from customers on what to stock. You can check them out on Facebook, and they have a posting on this forum as well.
