Gafi and im not sure....either a school of neons....or I may just decide to make this my shrimp tank

Gafi yep...it will be painted black, and the HC has been planted along with stems to help ward off major algae blooms....once the HC starts to take hold, I will slowly remove the stems and allow the HC to finish carpeting Pretty excited for this bad boy!

TheFoleys What kind of sea monsters are going in this bad boy?
08-22-2012 06:23 AM
TheFoleys Very nice rocks... Should be quite nice. I think I'm to late being you said its planted.... I believe that in an hc only tank the wall behind the tank may be the focal point. I recommend a painting the back of your tank to hide wall and wires hoses ext. The wood color will force the eye to look through the tank even more. Gl

DubSmacks They all seem very low like its not enough for that size. It might work it you have some driftwood that looks like its growing on that second one from the left. even better heavily planted. It's not bad at all just needs a little work.

Gafi Hahah its planted....just stem plants at the moment with some crypts hoping to find some hc.

PS I rotated the centre rock after I uploaded the picture, so it is facing the same way as in post/picture #6
Post #11 is my favorite. This is pretty close, assuming you rotated the center back to the post #6/#11 position.

Gafi Should the center remain the highest?

Jules I think the elevations look great in the picture, but before planting is the time to play around with them so you might as well experiment a bit to see what happens.

I'd try making the left side even higher (while leaving the right side unchanged), and also raising both sides (but keeping the left higher than the right).

Gafi Do you think i should mound the substrate on either side? Raise it higher or just leave as is in that picture
