|FlyingHellFish||Updates? She's a beauty with that white sand. It becoming such a chore maintaining the Edge with the top on. Sometimes I think about removing the top as well. Not sure if you seen mine but imagine trying to trim HC Cuba etc, weekly with the usual water change etc.|

Got another Fluval Edge tank from LFS. Somehow they have a display that they want to get rid off and I just want the tank. Offered $45 and here is my tank. Took off the top and setup the my DIY UGF base on Tom's

Turn on the light this morning and didn't see any deaths. The shrimps were shock when I turn on the light. I think they are not use to the white sand and they had been in the dark for more than 24 hours. It will take a while for them to adjust to the light. Didn't check the parameter and will do it tonight.
Order a pH pen not sure if it will work good.

LOVE it without the top. It is very ignoring when you want to do something to the tank and you can do much with the hole that it provide. I took off the top with all the plants and shrimp in the tank. LOL it took a while but I think worth all the time I spend on it. I agree that getting a different tank will be a lot better, but since I spend the money already and it is not worth to sell it, I will just make it a tank I like.

|DBlauj||How do you like the tank without the top? I've been debating on removing the top on my edge as well given how annoying it is to scape and net fish. It seems this tank is only good as a shrimp tank. Kind of regreting dishing out so much money but I can't lie when it looks good, it looks good.|

Removed the tree. Very ignoring when moving things around in the tank. Move the BTOE and Rillis back in the tank. Hope they are happy with their new home.

Light is off now. So they don't stress out.
