It is really ignoring when trimming lol. I totally understand since I have HC top. Now the tank is just a plain tank for shrimp. With substrate and wood. Lol

sunyang730 Update

Got another Fluval Edge tank from LFS. Somehow they have a display that they want to get rid off and I just want the tank. Offered $45 and here is my tank. Took off the top and setup the my DIY UGF base on Tom's

sunyang730 Update

Turn on the light this morning and didn't see any deaths. The shrimps were shock when I turn on the light. I think they are not use to the white sand and they had been in the dark for more than 24 hours. It will take a while for them to adjust to the light. Didn't check the parameter and will do it tonight.

Order a pH pen not sure if it will work good.

The wood had been removed. All my tank are mainly for shrimp. The wood prevent me from doing a lot of things there. LOL

LOVE it without the top. It is very ignoring when you want to do something to the tank and you can do much with the hole that it provide. I took off the top with all the plants and shrimp in the tank. LOL it took a while but I think worth all the time I spend on it. I agree that getting a different tank will be a lot better, but since I spend the money already and it is not worth to sell it, I will just make it a tank I like.

sunyang730 Update

Removed the tree. Very ignoring when moving things around in the tank. Move the BTOE and Rillis back in the tank. Hope they are happy with their new home.

Parameter
pH: 6.6
gH: 7
TDS: 175
Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite: 0

Light is off now. So they don't stress out.
