Lichard Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've posted (I've been busy :P), but I thought I should wrap up the end of this Tank Journal.

I moved out right after setting up the 55 and it went out of control.

Today that tank is sitting in some storage collecting dust, but I have been busy with another project (Which I'm about to make a thread on) making a 55 gallon paludarium build in my new place.

This is the last photo I had taken before leaving home and the tank succumbing to overgrowth and under-maintenance.

And my 20g walstad (I didn't want to make two identical posts in two threads )

That being said, I'll be making a new post about my journey with paludariums here soon so hold on to your pants! There's a lot more that goes into building one than you might think. It will take me a while to get the thread set up (I have to find all the pictures ), but expect a lot of information and pictures.

Here's a tease shot of where it is now

I've learned a lot about caring for planted tanks from this community and I want to give back as much as I can. So if you have any questions, I'm willing to help out

And as always, thanks for checking out my journal!

Lichard What's up plantedtank people??

After a battle with school and time, my tank turned into a jungle...

But it's a new year, and a new year means a rescape!

Here it is as of yesterday

Thanks for checking out my journal! I'll keep it up to date as things get interesting again

Lichard Hey guys, been busy lately but I have off today so I figured I'd update!

I know you guys like some pics

But first, thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate it! Most of my inspiration comes from this forum, so I'm glad you guys like my journal. (I added some more red plants Termato!)

I've shifted things around a bit, broke up some anubias, trimmed some moss, and added a patch of red ludwigia (the tops are still green from the store) in on the right.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pulled out my main driftwood for it's first trim ever, and found a crazy root system going through it!

I also found some hc attached to the moss attached to the driftwood. I forgot to take a picture, but you can see the bright green patch (very tip of big dw) on the picture of the left side of the tank. Who knew you could use moss to carpet hc?

Thanks for stopping by guys! I'll update in another week, till then, stay classy.

Williak My god man, your tank is absolutely beautiful. So inspiring to look back to the first photo you posted, and now the current one. Amazing work!

You def have me looking into that DIY Paintball CO2 set up. The 2 2-liter set up all of a sudden isn't cutting it (and it's only been set up for a week now haha)

Look forward to more pics!

Wasserpest Looks great, you sure know how to grow plants. Amazing what can be achieved in just a couple of months!

Lichard Oh yeah and ignore the plant weights, I had to demoss the hc and pulled up some in the process haha

Lichard Today is waterchange day

Added some moss and chopped up one anubias

I'm just going to let it grow out another week because I'm feeling lazy.

Thanks for the kind words guys! And thank for stopping by

Lichard Hey guys, have some new pics for ya.

I took apart my giant blyx and found out she had about 9 on her total, so I made a big patch of them

Besides that just trimmed up and replanted some corymbosa.

Yeah, it's a different size all together.

Check out this image and compare The circles A and B.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I suspect it's just some Hemianthus micranthemoides that somehow made it in with the HC I got

Thanks for the kind word and for stopping by!
