Slim size external filter wanted

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a slim size external filter for fitting at side of tank setup. I was thinking about the API Rena Nexx until I realised both in and out feeds needed to enter tank together - I've not got enough room in hood. I've seen a V2 Powerbox 100 today which seems slim (16cm) - any one have any experience of these. Or do you know of anything similar for a 100l tank?
