AUvet14 Personally, I think the UP Aqua atomizers are a POS, at least on anything larger than maybe a 10 gallon tank. Having tried the UP Aqua atomizer and now using the GLA atomic diffusers for 9 months or so, there is no comparison. The mist from the GLA diffuser is finer than that from the UP Aqua. Also, I could not adjust the flow rate with the UP Aqua diffuser like I could with the GLA because the ceramic that the CO2 is pushed through is thicker on the UP Aqua and I guess created more resistance.

Rev2eight if there were water inside the atomizer, won't the pressure from the co2 push it back out? I suspect water from your tank is draining into your bubble counter and is causing it to fill up over night.

Stinkmonky Just put another check valve in between the bubble counter and then diffuser

takadi Nvm I found out the problem. Apparently the water was getting into the atomizer from the bubble counter. Had to shake out the excess water inside for it to work again. Now I'm debating whether it will be wise to turn off my CO2 at night for fear that water will absorb into the atomizer and it will stop working.

Up Aqua Co2 diffuser not working

I bought an up aqua co2 diffuser from ebay, one of those supposed "knock offs" of the GLA atomizers. It worked well the first day I put it in. I disconnected my system to repair the regulator and when I put it back together, gas simply would not come out of the diffuser now matter how much I opened the needle valve. I switched bubble counters, check valves, tubing, pushed up the working pressure all the way up to 60, nothing. I thought it might have been because I broke something in the regulator so I tried it out on my other regulator I currently use on another tank. Nothing. The bubbles would be cranking out and then it would just stop.

My theory is that I left it soaking too long in the water without any gas coming out of it so it essentially become "clogged". If not, what could possibly be wrong with this? I bleached it and am in the process of drying it right now and if it doesn't work still and I can't find another solution, I will be forced to buy a replacement GLA one.
