Dimensions on cylinder?

What are the dimensions on your cylinder? It seems wider than most. Also, baffle--I am constantly amazed at the MacGyver skills of nano tank owners

CrazyCatPeekin Here are some updated photos. Jasper the betta has moved it, but my camera isn't good enough to get a decent show of him. It doesn't help that he won't hold still. He really is quite an active little guy!

Here is is zooming around the tank.

This is a shot of the sponge baffle that I made so he doesn't get blown around by the current.

And here, again from a distance. This is how I typically view the tank from my desk. I dig it. Sorry it's a little blurry. I am still working on my camera skills!

I know they have the one gallon 8" x6" for 5 bucks and I'm pretty sure they had a two gallon for 9.99. Glass reasonably thick and very clear.

pedropete i'll have to check my nearby homegoods for similar cylinders. i'd love to do a no/low tech set-up for a shrimp or maybe some RCS (with frequent water changes of course...)

CrazyCatPeekin Yep. I got this one at Home Goods (aka TJ Maxx). I think it was around $9.

I did a water change today. I made a baffle out of some sponge to slow the current on the filter. I think I am going to move Jasper (DT betta) into this tank today and he would have been blown around like crazy!

A bunch of stems came up when I changed the water! ARGH! Replanted most of them and added just a tiny bit more microsword. I hope Jasper doesn't pull up my stems. He likes to shimmy around the bottoms of the plants.

I'm also going to Ace to get a lid cut for it. Just in case Jasper decides to go for a leap!

Will post more pics later tonight.

Rider TJ Maxx usually carries that vase and they are really inexpensive.

vvDO the petite looks good where it is, kind of like landscape bush in front of the deco.

I'll keep an eye on it. It has been sitting with plant scraps and water in it for about 4 months though. So I think that was a pretty good test. It is a bit more vulnerable in its current location though!

Yep...I've seen so many of them on this site and thought they were so cute, I had to pick one up. I got it at Petsmart. Some of the edges were a little on the sharp side, so I sanded them down until they were smooth.

CrazyCatPeekin Thanks everyone!

I really dig the magnification-factor of the cylinder also. It makes for a neat look. I hope whatever I end up stocking with is going to look pretty cool.
