SAKE 2012 Registration Open
The 14th annual Southwest Area Killifish Event (SAKE) will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
There will be a broad focus that should appeal to all types of aquarium hobbyists. SPEAKERS will be:
- Jim Fong discussing the genus Nothobranchius (African annual killifish) and the title of his presentation is "Nothobranchius - Easy or Difficult?"
- Greg Sage talking about the selective breeding of aquarium fishes.
- Aaron Ambos presenting information and pictures of the wildlife of the Great Basin Desert, with a focus mainly on the isolated and rare fishes of the eastern Great Basin.
There is no registration fee to attend SAKE as the event is funded by a gigantic raffle, a silent auction, and a regular auction. To be successful, we rely upon both your contributions of aquarium fishes, aquatic plants, and live foods, as well as your participation in the raffle and auctions. Based upon previous years, we expect to have somewhere between 300-500 items in the auctions alone. In other words, there should be something for everyone!
