Moody636 I've moved a few things around but not a whole lot has changed. I am trimming an awful lot, though.

I also bought a new camera so I figured I'd make an update to this journal. I'm a newbie to DSLRs and manual modes, so let me know if you have any pointers or comments. I also realize these shots are kind of dark... I'm working on it :P . I just wish I had an external flash to put above the tank.

Moody636 The wood in the tank began to soften up and was showing signs of rotting. I didn't want to but I had to let it go. I decided to throw a bunch of stems into the tank to see what I like and to experiment a little. I don't see myself doing another scape anytime soon. At least until finals are over that is....

Oh well!

I loved the moss wall too but it took forever to fill in, was a major pain to keep trimmed, and trapped a lot of debris. I also attribute the death of my ram to it.

I like the idea of another crypt. I need to stop thinking before I end up buying something.

I'm honestly not sure. I collected it locally here in NC. It started as a slow grower but has recently started growing out of control.

Moody636 I've made some changes since the last update. I am finally not growing new algae after hanging my light 6 inches from the top and increasing co2. I'm still treating with peroxide and manually removing some bba.

This stuff has really taken off
