wmnash Yikes! Lots has changed in the last few years. Tropical Aquarium on Tropicana is still around. For me it's been a hit or miss place. Usually good service and nice employees, but erratic. There is a small store called Blue Reef Aquatics, 5960 N. Losee Rd., North Las Vegas, NV 89081 (702.252.7333). Greg and his wife own the place. He's very knowledgeable, pleasant and I've always found him patient (being an ancient senior citizen I notice these things). However, I'm in Henderson and Blue Reef is practically a day trip for me. Still, good stock, clean, well lit, lots of salt and fresh water fish. The F.I.S.H. store mentioned earlier is apparently no longer in business. The PetCo and PetSmarts I've visited are specious, at best. I've been buying most of my stock and plants in San Diego and L.A. whenever I'm there and just driving them back to Vegas gently packed on the back seat.

texTical Offer is still available if anyone needs any plants. I do a culling every few months and just throw a bunch of plants away. I live in mountains edge, the tank below is a 110gal tank and is half live and the other half is dark with wood. So i have a good amount of plants that are wasted.

There are long vals that are sometimes over 2ft long and in long chains from their root running.
i have loads of subwassertang and christmas tree moss...trying to get my flame moss to grow but its not as fast attached to my driftwood.
i have this other kinda fuzzy moss which is dark green which i grow this netting type other moss inside of it as that netting moss is light green and looks pretty sweet. But i have loads of that stuff too.

I recently added in some tetras as i got rid of my shrimp.

I haven't even gotten the soil in my 10 gallon yet, but I want dwarf baby tears and water sprite (assuming those are legal here??). i am thinking guppies and either cherry shrimp or red crystal shrimp. i haven't seen any of this stuff in the henderson area. i am willing to drive a bit for things, but don't want to drive and be told they are 'out of stock.' any suggestions?

Side note, just got 2 very nice golden dojo loaches from the PetCo on Serene @ Eastern. They're so little; I am looking forward to watching them grow.
I have cobra endlers (not entirely sure how pure my strain is, so most likely hybrid guppies), tons of babies if you want some. Free to a good home if you want! (Please take some!!)

I also have water sprite not a ton, I just sold some and am growing it back out. I can give you a baby node if you want to start growing your own and don't mind waiting (grows fast)

I'd offer some shrimp too, but I'm still building up my population. Btw, if you are thinking of putting the guppies with shrimp, they will eat baby shrimp, and possibly adults.

Sent from my phone, in the land of magical unicorns and rainbows!

TeteRouge Last week, TropAquarium had cherry and blueberry (blackberry?) shrimp. Atlantis has cherries sometimes, have also seen bee and black. Call either one up, their staff will know whats in. As an update, as well, Petco on Spring Mtn/Rainbow had its aquatics all redone, and it has sadly suffered, though they still get a few nice things-some of their plakats are beautiful. Enjoy your tanks!

Elppan Blue Reef Aquariums I think it's called in North Las Vegas just increased the size of their freshwater selection, and lowered some of their prices.

toddg Assume F.I.S.H. on Bruce went out of business? Went there Saturday 11-17 and it's now some type of Dollar store. Phone number listed is disconnected. Anything else new in Vegas?

Vermino yeah i just bought from AZgardens (about a week ago) so i'm set.. actually they were supposed to ship dwarf sag but seems like i got a different ID of plant. I have some DHG and flame moss left if you like. If I get my 12gal rimless long I would love to have dwarf water lettuce (love that floater)

texTical If any of you guys in vegas want some free plants i usually have a good amount from my 2 small tanks. I just give it to trop aquarium so if you guys want some just hit me up. I usually have a good amount of pennywort, dwarf sag, dwarf water lettuce, subwassertang, christmas tree moss.

im working on HC and repens 49 so ill have clippings from them in a bit. Shoot me a pm if you want some. I do have some snails just fyi on my plants. Got them from some guppy grass i got from someone.

But regardless if you want to meet up ill give you some as i just chuck out a lot of it about every 2 weeks.
