Forumsnow Thanks! I went with mischlings simply because i don't have the funds to be spending on tb's right now. It's was $40 as opposed to $250+, I realize my chances of getting tb from them is small but hey they are better than nothing for right now. In the spring i'll sell some royals and buy some tb then likely try to put the mischlings in with some royals and see what comes out.

Forumsnow Got the mischlings from Steve Tuesday. They seem to be doing great, very active, and I havent seen any molts so my parameters must be pretty close to his. Very happy to have shrimp in this tank finally.

Forumsnow Haven't updated in awhile. Tank has just been sitting with no livestock growing good biofilm. Getting 10 mischlings from sbarb on Tuesday, they're not tb but between christmas and buying a new car it's the best i can do right now. The tank is doing real good, glosso is staying real low. A pic for now, will add some more Wednesday once the shrimp are in. It will be nice to have something in this tank besides snails finally.

Sachem matrix. Its a bio media.
People use often to cover UGF pipes and such.

Aplomado Thanks... what is the "matrix"?

Forumsnow aplomado plants will hold it, glosso to be exact. I've had much much much steeper slopes not go anywhere with hc. It is a ton of matrix underneath that makes up most of the slope. Hope that answers your question.

Aplomado So... doing anything to keep that nice slope? I'm curious...
