TeamKRF Skimmer top Almost looks like it came off a string of x-mas lights shield/effect thing around actual bulb? Asa far as other fittings, plumbing warehouse?

Thanks Danny! I've seen that YouTube user's videos. Some great DIY projects there.

I guess that the overall design is not too different from other DIY skimmers. I'm mostly curious about the acrylic fittings. Are they premade (I have been searching for them) or custom bent.

I'd also like to know where the white inlet strainer came from. Anyone recognize the brand?

DIY acrylic surface skimmer

Hey all,

I've been struggling with a surface film on my 60-P for months now. It comes and goes, sometimes the day after a water change. Probably an issue many other people are dealing with. I've tried to raise my lily pipe outflow, but it just pushes the film around.

Anyways, I started searching for surface skimmers that would not stand out in my tank and I came across this video.

There isn't much of a description but I'm hoping that someone has seen it before or knows the builder. I'd love to try making one myself. It looks like acrylic. Also dig the white inlet screen.

Anyone have any advice on this build? Thanks!
