I know.. ill try and boil the thick end, then ill bleach bath and scrub it down in the tub.. I could probably grab a big tote, but I don't think I should put boiling hot water into something like that...
I've never purchased any of my driftwood, it has all been scavenged. There's some good stuff around here, but so much is foul and rotting out. I've found wild grape wood, which seems to be popular for terrarium use. Some odd gnarly roots and branches. Beaver felled wood. Lots of plants I wish I could identify... There's a lot of really red stuff around here, some red hydrocotyle blew my mind.. but I've not had success with it before..

|Hoppy||You also need to put it in a garbage can and pour boiling water over it several times to try to kill anything living in those recesses, and clean it off. You can also use bleach to accomplish the same thing.|

45 inches of awesome
Found this sucker in a lake, it has a hollow end that makes a conical cave as well as some awesome little gnarls to wedge some anubias or something in...
Now I just need a place to put it...
