whiteblaze 27 k thanks that is what i was wondering cause i dont mind putting water in when it gets low cause of evaporation

DemonUnleashed The lights come with a splash guard. I use the top to reduce evaporation.

whiteblaze 27 would it be fine for the lights if i didnt have a cover?

DemonUnleashed You probably can use the top that it came with. I just get picky with the small details.

DemonUnleashed Yeah I did. I used the hinge that came with the stock top and bought a new handle from a lfs. I'm using a fluval 206 and wasn't to fond of the back plastic piece so I made it all glass and notched the corners for the intake and outflow pipes. I put a half inch radius in the corner of the notches to reduce the chance of breakage.

DemonUnleashed I have the same tank and received the 24 inch Ray 2 fixture about two weeks ago. Seems to be a good combo so far.
