PSO 3 When I was researching on getting a new light, I saw a couple people say that the older ones weren't very good and there were some cases of fires starting. I'm not sure if they're good or bad from experience, thats just what I saw. Hopefully someone here could be more helpful. Good luck!

Question about this specific lighting

Tank: 30g (36" wide, 12" deep) freshwater:

Sunset Hygro
Crypt Lutea
Tiger Val
Broad Leaf Ludwig

Saw a local ad on CL selling this type of light:

Odyssea compact fluorescent uni lighting (CF uni 36') 96W 120 V 60Hz for $25.

Is this a good deal? Would it be appropriate lighting for the plants I have, or too high/ low of light? I'm new to planted aquariums and not experienced on what types of lights would work best with my tank's dimensions. Any help/ suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
