I am having the same problem. My bristlenose lives in an ornament and I've just replaced my tank. I don't want to put his ornament in the new tank because it's covered in snail spawn, but he simply won't come out.....I've tried taking the ornament out, putting it in a bucket of water etc. etc......he's been in there all day.....not sure what else to try....

|koiboi||Reminds me of Raphael Cats. I can't tell you how many times I've taken stuff out of tanks for a while, started cleaning, and had one drop out and surprise me. I swear they don't even need water LOL.|

|garfieldnfish||Do you have a bucket large enough to hold the ornament? Fill the bucket with tank water, take out the ornament with the pleco in it. At some point, probably pretty quickly he will come out. Then remove the ornament and net the pleco.|

|Cboss||I'd take the ornament out, he should let go once he's out of the water.|

How in the hell do I get a pleco out of an ornament? I have decided to take down my tank and have found homes for all the fish, but I can't for the life of me get this pleco out of this ornament in the tank. It's a long finned bristlenose pleco, he's quite pretty for a pleco. I hardly ever see the booger, the second he sees any movement he goes into this ornament. It's one of those stupid ones that looks like a stump with roots going down and he can get into the parts that look like roots and I can't get to him at all. He can get out on his own, but I can't get him out. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated!
