RWaters Has anyone been to Petco Union Square lately? Do they have any shrimp or interesting nano fish?

frrok I've bought fish at monster and haven't had an issue. The fire red cherries that I gotten their a few times didn't last very long. I think it's hit or miss. But overall, it's a great shop and always willing to go above and beyond for customers. Their is also a discount if your part of NYPT Facebook group. John is very helpful with me everyone I go there. He also stocks fish and plants that you will never find at any other LFS. And aquasoil!

DavidZ There is one guy there that can make the decisions, the is the owner.
I find as in most LFS, you do not buy anything the day or the day after they get their deliveries.

furnfins Went to Monser a few weeks ago I bought Spotted botia, 6 of them which are doing quite well and 8 pygmeus cory's. Half of them were dead or dying by the time I got back home and the rest died within 24 hours with one remaining. Haven't see that last one in a while so I guess it's gone too. I mentioned it to them when we went back a few days later and she didn't say anything.

DavidZ Stopped by Monster on Sunday morning, they try top stock a little of everything, got to give them credit. They has some Apisto Cacatuoides young not much color to them a couple pairs, very large Bolivian Rams, Some Balloon Rams, GBRS, SAE..., The plants didn't look too hot. What I do not get you have 4 people working, and you still have dead fish in the tanks.

I mentioned that to one of the workers last week & I was told that they were expecting double red agassizii in the near future.

The people there were very nice & gave me a discount.
