mach_six here's the video of the guy using those over his s/w tank, LEDs that replaced his Kessil MH.

They clamps look pretty sturdy to hold up the 20W, not sure their housing is bigger than the 10W.

acitydweller the thing with these fixtures is they are heavy so any gooseneck used needs to be heavy duty.

mach_six Would that be considered medium lighting? I picked up a 10W to test it out.

i've seen someone use the Kessil A150 clamp arms to attach these too. They're $35 a pop so not exactly cheap.

I've seen some with lens on them on ebay for a bit more but not any in 6500K. That should focus more light back into the tank.

kubalik I am actually thinking of replacing my 65 gal with ada 75p, it would go to a different spot , making more safe room for the baby to crawl around , and for us to move around the baby's stuff . Albert , if you go to ADA store tomorrow can you please ask them how much they would sell 75P to NYAPS for ? and when could they have it (I dont think they keep them in stock)
If that goes trough , I ll be doing a dry start , fissidens will be the only plant ....

acitydweller Thanks patrice. The theory works like a reactor shredding bubbles into a million smaller ones increasing overall surface area of the bubbles and absorption.

My regulator and co2 tank is here...
Mr aqua reactor as well.

ptr Albert, if you're up for an experiment, you might want to try the one I've posted here: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh....php?p=2076119

My plants really looks a lot better since I've set it up this way.

tank reboot

I've made strides in trimmings to divvy for our last swap and really have an inclination to rescape my planted tanks entirely.

Much of the emphasis in the hobby have been towards ensuring that all livestock, flora and fauna survive and thrive with little regard to tank asthetics. If there is an antithesis to Igwami, my tank would be it. I hope my new scape will be based on the rule of thirds and the fauna and flora selection based on the rule of 3 (economics)

As I embark on new projects with planning and parts coming in for two new tank setups, the opportunity and space offers me a chance for redemption.
  • CO2 setup on 55g
  • LED Flood Lamps 10w + 20w
  • Safe-t-sorb substrate charging
  • migrating my established 5.5g setups to new 10g tanks
  • Moss themed tank
  • Fern themed tank
  • new grow out tank

Lastly, until saving to convert my light fixtures to all finnex ray II lamps.

Not that time is already a scarce commodity, I also picked up a Schuber Wright 8.9 gallon tank project for a friend to setup and scape in the meanwhile. Lots of work ahead but charged with inspration from all of our meets and outtings of late.

So I hope this will be a record of my projects and not a tank journal persay to document my work head. Hopefully it would inspire others to consider doing things differently as well.
