PAPAS meetings are open to all people who would like to attend. One of our general missions is to help other fellow planted aquarium enthusiasts and our monthly presentation and Q&A sessions help us achieve that goal.
That said, the main benefit of membership is being able to participate in our monthly auctions. At our auctions, we encourage fellow planted aquarium members to bring cuttings of their plants (that many of us would otherwise just throw away). This allows us to help raise funds as well as spread around rare and unusual plants that we may have. Membership dues are only $2/meeting or $20/year, starting in January.
I hope to see you at the meeting on Sunday!

PAPAS Meeting 11/4/12 - Member's Tanks
The Pittsburgh Area Planted Aquarium Society (PAPAS) will be having a meeting this Sunday, 11/4/12, at Oddball Pets @ 2 pm.
Shaun Howard will be giving a presentation / discussion on photographs of member's tanks. If you would like so submit photographs of your own tank (or a friends... with their permission, of course), please message me with information about where to email the photograph files to. If you've ever wanted to know what some of the other member's planted aquariums look like, here is your chance to find out and ask them questions!
Following the presentation, we will be having our PAPAS auction and a friendly discussion of any questions you may have about planted aquariums. Also, we will be discussing the very special PAPAS auction we will be having next month @ the December meeting on 12/2/12.
Feel free to contact me for more information.
