briansbelle Thanks. That's what I thought I should use.

How deep should I go with it?

Also do I need to put something ontop of it to keep it down?

hi everyone!

im getting back into keeping freshwater tanks again since taking a break to step into the darkside(saltwater)

i still have a little 11g saltwater.

im getting ready to setup a mr aqua 12g long planted tank.

so im gathering my supplies.

i have seiryu stone on its way to me...about 13lbs.

now i need help with substrate....i want to keep baby tears and low lying plants along with some higher viney plants....

what would be my best option, the tank is only 36"longx8"widex9" tall so i wont need much but i do want to try to make a couple hills and such.

thanks so much and i cant wait!!!

next year after we move i will be setting up a 120g planted discus tank
