pretty much. i did a estimation just holding the 45 up to the side. i marked it with a dot in the middle and drilled away

if i want to raise it i can just add some striaght tubing to the 45 to raise the height but its perfect the way it is

HD Blazingwolf overflow box mods done on tuesday

I trimmed the weir off and removed some off the back baffle so their will be a nice drop in the overflow in the front. foam was added down at the bottom, this is to keep shrimp from going into the overflow box and possibly down the sump.. i got tired of fishing for them when i had a foam prefilter

box got modded to do a herbiei style oveflow. the open drain has 45* elbow on it to allow water to gently flow down. system is completely silent, which being in a bedroom is a MUST especially when the wife is weird about noises and i on the otherhand don't mind a slight trickle

those were my tournie days right there.. ever play 1 on gamespy or XBC?
that was the good stuff right there. lag was just lag, and it was always present, all you had to do was compensate and it was more than fun

It is back

SO after moving the shrimp to the 29 gallon, having it setup and beautiful with wood and ferns abd plants everywhere. even an overflow modified to not suck up scrimpers

i found i had predators in the tank. dragonfly nymphs and they slowly wiped out my tank.
i looked and looked and looked. but i never ot all of them. so with 20 shrimp left out of hundreds. i moved them to the 75 to hopefully survive, but i think theY got picked off prety easy in that tank

SO
after a teardown of anger and frustration, not to mentio it was in the bedroom and the wife doesnt like any kind of noise unless its a fan
its being brought back with a little more style this time. i'll be setting up the hardscape in a dry environent
overflow will be similar by is being modified to do a herbie. pictures later

this is the shot of the tank as of last night with wood, rocks, and aquasoil
this tank will be low light with pressurized co2. i do plan on having a decent vareity of plants including HOPEFULLY some ultricularia graminifolia

HD Blazingwolf ME TOO.. but it had to get used elsewhere, and i felt the tank was crowded the way it started turning out

i wouldn't mind trying it again but having a different layoutw
as it stands right now though, this tank is super easy to maintain. i haven't cleaned the glass once in 3-4 months?? i have no mechanical filtration it just stays clean

jeremyTR Awesome little tank! I loved the drift wood you had in there

HD Blazingwolf woke up this morning at 5 :30 and turned the bedroom lights on as usual and now some of it is reflected by the aluminum. at around 6:15 after some coffee. i noticed my shrimp all by the back glass..
eh maybe not all, but a good majority. they were staring at themselves!! i think..

i tried to grab a shot, bu they all scattered.. it was neat to see though
