You should! You'd be surprised the deals you can find.
A half whiskey barrel lined with long liner is an excellent choice as well.

Eldachleich The lotus only had two viable tubers upon repotting.
I really hope they make it.
The helvola lily has already sprouted. Much much earlier than last year.

Eldachleich It's finally a lotus bowl!
My local nursery just happened to get a dwarf lotus in.
And of course I bought it since the whole point of this mini pond was a dwarf lotus!

Here's a glimpse of it in the pond. Just put it in

Re: 25 Gallon Lotus Bowl

The carnivorous plants on the side are out of dormancy and growing.
The pitcher plant seedling survived and has gotten much taller with a more defined shape to it. The seedlings pitcher has been open a week and its already full of bugs.
The fly trap is flowering. Which I'm excited about.

And the mini roses around the sides are growing, one bloomed.

Re: 25 Gallon Lotus Bowl

What happened... hmm...
Well... winter hit... life got crazy.

A lot of the plants died from winter but I expected that.

The mini lily I got has started throwing out leaves again after winter dormancy and I hope to get it blooming this summer.

I'll do a more complete update with pictures tomorrow.

Omg you got the mosaic? Where did you put it? I still haven't found a place yet, some good news though -- the grand duke jasmine clipping rooted
Lol.... Just visiting old friends... My old friend Laura just opened her own cheese shop/house so I came to visit and vacation and what not...
Actually I'm on my 3DS right now lol.... I'm in the middle of a rather diabolical puzzle game and decided to check in...

I did get it! I put one in this tub pond and one in my pond...

Oh! Other update! Captain Harlock's Chest of Eden has been destroyed.
In its place is a brand new 250 gallon pond... which is more than enough for me.
I completed construction on it the day before I left lol.
All I have done is build the walls, add the pond liner, and fill it up.
When I get back I plan on getting the pump for the waterfall, and the filter. Hopefully I will also get the actual waterfall done as well.

My grandfather got swayed into impulse buying this particular kind of brick (what a surprise), so my plans for the whole thing got skewed.

Eldachleich So... an update...

For starters I'm in Italy right now.... have been for a few weeks..
So...I hope everything is ok when I get back. I gave it a heavy trim and left detailed care instructions...
Also..I got a mosaic plant. So hit me up Xenxes! Whenever you are ready it is here.

I just leave mine in the heat.... I've noticed that if i leave them alone and give them a big trim right before fall I can get them to last for years.
