If I had my choice between threadfins and pseudomugil, I choose the pseudomugil every time. they were awesome and very prolific breeders.

My SA black water biotope is slowly coming together. I still have another batch of wood to submerge and then it's ready for scaping and fauna.

Fishies_in_Philly Are the Gertrude's pseudomugil species? If so, they are awesome fish. I have been trying to get pseudomugil signifer for years. I never seem to find them when I am ready for them.

marley77 Thanks. Very cool looking fish. I like the Gertrude's as well. Maybe I'll get both. The fiancÚ(can't wait til were married, hate that word lol) thinks my cories and otos are boring.

'Be kept threadfins years upon years ago. Nice peaceful community fish. I don't recall whether or not they stayed at the top portion of the tank though.

I wanted ideas regarding the plant placement. How to improve on it.
Thanx

Fishies_in_Philly Use a knee high or the foot off of pantyhose. Works like a charm

I think it looks pretty good. The rock on the right looks a little out of place. The plants look pretty healthy from that shot. Got any closer shots?

I'm convinced my shrimp want to live in the filter. I tried turning the flow down to 1/2 on the AC70 but they're back in the filter again. Maybe I should get a sponge cover or some mesh or something.

marley77 Got some more plants in from Bamaplants. Picked up 5 Panda Cories and 5 Otos from petsmart. I count about 6 red cherry shrimp including one berried female.

I need to cut that microsword up and plant it more evenly spaced to get a better carpet going. I'll have to order some proper aquascaping tools.
