I did remove the fissidens from the center and off the sand at the base of the right side hill.
The other issue for me was I want to detract from the head as much as I can, so it blends in more naturally. Its so centerpoint, Im trying to make it less obvious. As the Java Fern rhizomes grow along the face and the algae fills in wrinkles or defining lines, I can't wait for the face to disappear even more!

|limz_777||i think you should leave the sand patch just below the face empty , make it look like a cave or door just below it , quite a good focal point|

I will say the one thing that sucks about petrified wood is its soooooo smooth the roots don't attach well like other mediums!

|Em85||I love how you got the anubias in the center to cascade down, it has a jungle vine feel to it. Awesome tank - nice work!|

|andrewq||This take is awesome! Did you use co2 or any fertilizers?|

|Deanna01||This is gorgeous and amazing. I am honestly in awe of your talent in putting this together. What did you use as the structure in the back to make it look like tree canopy? I am supposing the plant is the fissidens fontanus you mentioned, but what are the arches it is attached to?|

The guy who owns the original bust (its always sat on a shelf) got me this one as a gift. I bugged him for YEARS to give me his... But I will also say that his has a blue tint and this one is more fitting so it all worked out for the best!
I added 3 Sterbai coreys. So now I have 3 pandas and 3 Sterbai. Coreys RULE! I also did some serious scape management and pulled out a bunch more fissidens. I need a couple more months to cut all the old growth and let the stable temp take effect!

|skoram||At this I thought this was going to be a really cheesy looking tank. I couldn't have been more wrong. One of the coolest tanks I have ever seen. Kudos!|
