Hi, anywhere specific that manhanttanites get tanks and refills at?

I live in Brooklyn. I managed to find a place that'll sell you a used cylinder (that's right, it's yours, not rented) and they will also refill your tank.

The place is called Awisco, and they're located in Maspeth Queens. Frank is the guy that I know in customer service. You can give him a call (718-786-7788) and find out how much everything will cost.

Tell him Maria sent you.

P.S. The tank I bought was used, but in excellent condition, and it works very well.

Call ahead to make sure they have co2, last time I went they were out. It's on 26th between 7th and 8th. It's sort of skeezy. To get to the place, go into the parking garage, hit the staircase, and go upstairs.

If anyone knows of anywhere else to get a fill that is in the midtown area, please let me know.

No, $15 for a 5lb cylinder.

I called the other place on 28st, i believe able fire exting. and they were more expensive for both refills and a new cylinder. Just offering options here.

I had a great experience with able.. they were very nice.. and also willing to check out the tank. I'll use them again.

Hmmm...I just called able, they asked me what I needed the tank for and I told them it was for an aquarium. They then told me that the tanks they sell don't work for aquariums.

I also called McKinney, they sell tanks for $90 with $12 refills.

Anyone know of anyplace which sells cheaper tanks?

and they come to your home, deliver a full tank, and every
time you need a refill, they again come to your home and
swap your empty for a full tank. pretty cool concept if you
don't have a car, don't want to look like a terrorist walking
around town with a "bomb", and can afford their service.
they have a lot of aquarium customers who only need one
tank, and a few refills per year.
