AF is pricey, but it is good. I have been bringing plants there for store credit for quite some time now.

Since Kamil says the aquarium prices are good, I think I may cash in my credit for another glass box!

On a 29 gallon it was excellent at about 54 dollars. I was comparing prices to another pet store which was 69 and Petco which was 49.99.

I'm really starting to like Absolutely Fish. They made some awesome donations to our monthly auction.

Thanks AF.

They were nice donations.

AF did a nice job. They also did a nice job last Thursday. They brought in Jay Luto, another old school plant pro and myself to host a planted aquarium round table as a part of their Earth Day program.

It was a nice way for experienced hobbyists and newer hobbyists to get together and talk about plants and planted aquariums.

I've learned a lot in a short period talking to Jim about plants, but when I decided to switch from an HOB to a Eheim I was dismayed to see the price of a 2213 at 149.99. It's at 72.99 on Big Al's. I don't mind paying a bit more to support the local guy and I am aware of the economic realities of Essex Cty, but that is just dumb. I told them if they were merely 20 or so dollars over the online merchants they would have had a sale, but not double.

While I think AF does have some very high prices, the price of their Eheim filters is only marginally above what some other LFSs are selling them for.
Unless you are talking about a very heavy item, You just can't compare buying something online to buying it locally, especially in our area.

Check out the "Specials" portion of the website.

They have a coupon you can print out for $50 off an Eheim Classic canister.
