One of the best looking plants I've managed to grow!! As long as you have the proper lighting and fert regime, it will grow fast (and inch a week)and begin so send out side shoots!! Everyone that sees my tank always comments on the "big reddish-purple tree-like plant". It also grows upright rather than twisted like L. repens. A great background or centerpiece!!

This plant is gorgeous! I had it for a good few months (in which it thrived) and then it just started melting away even though I hadn't changed anything with my tank. The color was pretty easy to maintain though. The higher leaves were deep purple and the lower more dark pink.

This is an easy plant to grow, and does not require high lighting. Under very low light conditions, the color will be green/red. In higher light tanks, the growth is about a medium pace, growing 1" per week roughly.
