This is a relatively easy plant with pleasing symmetry and a nice bushy habit with interesting little 'berries' on it. The stems are quite thin though and initially it is hard to keep cuttings in place until they root. I've also found that they prefer slightly cooler water than most other aquarium plants. It grows okay at 78'F, but seems to suffer at temperatures higher than that. I've had massive diebacks during summer heat-waves.
This plant looks good even when allowed to grow quite tall, so it can be used from fore to background. Because cuttings are troublesome to root, I've found it's best to remove the tops and leave the bottoms when it comes to pruning time. The stems are thin so this method of pruning doesn't leave obvious 'stumps'.
