A bit of this snuck into my tank with a larger load of the standard Java Fern. I found that the Wendelov was happy with the same conditions as the standard variety, but was slightly less robust and it's hardly propagated at all. Still quite lovely.

i bought both this fern and the normal java fern to be arranged together on my bogwood. The normal java fern didn't take and this one grew in well with medium light, diy co2, and no ferts. Definately a want for those aiming for a decent low tech plant

This was one of the first plants I ever bought. In my low tech tank it has almost quadrupled in plant mass in about 8 months. It is quite large now and the tips of the leaves are like huge palm leaf fans :P. It has taken algae attacks and uberlow light and my rough handling with ease. Once I took it out of the gravel and onto some driftwood it really took off though. This plant looks beautiful when put into large groups together.

In my opinion it grows and looks better than the "regular" java fern, but keep it in shade, as it can get a lot of bad algae on it.

I had acquired a few pieces of this plants to attach to my lava rock but as a warning, be sure to NOT use Maracyn in your tank when you have plants in there! There was no warning on the medication bottle/packaging and it almost killed off all my plants some months back.

The leaves all died off while the rhizomes remain green. It's been a couple months since but I still have hopes that new leaves will sprout *crosses fingers*
